Are You Looking at Me?

You ever have the feeling you are being watched? You can almost sense someone’s eyes following you. Instinctively, you take a quick look around and discover that no one is in sight. So, you just shrug it off and go on your way. But, what would happen if you took a closer look at your surroundings . . . what you see may surprise you.

Faces . . . they are all around us! They occur unexpectedly in nature, food, and everyday objects. Unfortunately, most people are too preoccupied with the hustle and bustle of daily life to notice them. Some of these face last only a moment, and then they are gone . . . often destroyed by our own mouths.

Finding these hidden faces instantly makes me chuckle, so I am always on the look for them. Luckily, all my time spent in the kitchen preparing meals has it’s perks . . . I have discovered that a lot of food has some big “personality.”

And even drinks as well . . . for you know a bottle of wine is going to be a great one, when even the cork is smiling! It truly is “happy hour.”

As much as everyone loves a grinning face, (happiness is contagious!), not all faces found are jolly ones. Some are just downright grumpy. And, honestly, these are the ones that make me laugh the hardest. How funny that even a rock can have a bad day.

So, this summer, I wish you all the time to slow down and notice all these little faces around us. They are there watching and waiting to be discovered. Enjoy them, capture them, and feel free to post them here! Seeing lots of unexpected faces will truly make me happy as a clam. 🙂
